Economic Development Alliance to Hold Fall Meeting

Georgetown County Economic Development and the Georgetown Economic Development Alliance will host its 2026 Fall Meeting, “From Vision to Investment,” on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pawleys Plantation Golf & Country Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

This inaugural gathering highlights a year of transformation for Georgetown County. Working alongside local, regional, and state partners, the County is building the foundation that turns vision into infrastructure and potential into progress for residents and businesses. The meeting brings partners and community members together to look at where local economic development is headed next.

“This year has been about the progression from planning to executing. Our partners are helping us turn big ideas into real investments in Georgetown County. This meeting is an opportunity to celebrate that progress and talk about what comes next,” said Kelly Robertson-Slagle, Director of Economic Development for Georgetown County. “We hope everyone leaves with new connections and excitement for the opportunities ahead.”

The morning will open with breakfast and networking, giving attendees time to connect with community leaders, economic development professionals, and local business owners. The program will feature presentations from thought leaders and partners in utilities, higher education, and economic development, followed by panel discussions on key topics supporting the local business community.

Chris Singleton, former professional athlete and inspirational speaker, will open the program. Dr. Rob Carey, Director of the Regional Economic Analysis Lab at Clemson University, will deliver the keynote, spotlighting national and regional economic trends and their impact on Georgetown County. Panel discussions on workforce development and investment will explore opportunities for collaboration and preview what’s to come.

The 2026 Fall Meeting is open to the community. Registration is available on Eventbrite. For more information, visit the Georgetown County Economic Development website or call 843-545-3161.
